Show SORROWFUL BEREAVEMENT. Orilla Ch.ristenson, who was taken ill with scarlet fever while at school, a week ago yesterday, Buccumbed to the disease three days after, Sunday morning last, aged seven years and seven months. A short funeral ser-washeld ser-washeld Monday afternoon on lhe outside premises of the resideuce and was attended by mourning relatives and numerous sympathizing friends. Judge A. H. Christensou, who is a brother of the bereaved father, spoke briefly. i The occasion was extremely sad, it being the fiist grief to overtake the family aud the father being from home in his occupation as sheepman. The load of care upon the mother was benevolently lessened by Walter Tollestrup, who kindly consented to be quarantined with the family for the purpose of helping all in his power. The father, C. I. Christeuson, was traced and informed at his ranch, on the Weber, of the conditions at his home in thia city, He made all pos sible haste, but the harbinger of death claimed the child a few hours prior to his arrival here. At this writing there is despair over another one of the children a few years older, while two others are afflicted, af-flicted, butonly in mild form. Great symphthy is manifest for Mr. and Mrs. C. I, Christensou in their bereavement be-reavement and the sickness which lingers iu the hoae. Orilla was born in Gunnieon on the 14th of October, 1902. |
