Show OA8I8. Mrs. Mlna Jackson, Chronicle Repre- Last Monday afternoon the Hurtner basket ball team and Oasis basket ball teams decided to see which wan th better team. The Bcore was 20 to 3 In favor of Oasis. The Hurtner hoys not being satisfied with this, invited our boys up on Saturday evening. After'Hurtner winning from Deseret they were defeated by Oasis. On Monday evening a number of the young people gave tho nvv!y married mar-ried couple, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Church, a bundle shower, and from all reports they had an enjoyable time. Wednesday evening Henry Church gave his wedding dance, which was very well attended. The bild- wis ai rayed In a dainty cream colortd dress. The groom In a black broadcloth broad-cloth suit. Mrs. Agnes Reld Is reported on tbo sick list this week. T. G. Reld has purchased the Jim Thompson place- and moved his family In last week. A wedding reception was given at Mrs. Zona Hawiey's Monday even ing In honor of her brother, Henry Church. Mr. Glldon and Bister, also Mr. .dams, returned Sunday to their home In Murray. Mrs. Sam Rutherford, In com.ar.y with her father, John Iverson. left for Salt Lake last Thursday night with her -Oyearold son. who Is seriously afflicted with sugar dlabetls. Her husband, hus-band, who Is on a mission, was called to meet her at Salt Lake City. |
