Show $500 FOR GEORGE Q. CANIfOX. This Reward Offered by marshal Ireland for the Apostle's Arrest. ' The visit of the Deputy Marshals to the several residences of Apostle George Q. Cannon yesterday failed to reveal any clue to his whereabouts, it seems, and Marshal Ireland,- in his determination to bring the underground passenger before the courts, decided this afternoon to offer the following reward : $500 BEWABD. I will pay the above amount to any person for information ' leading to the arrest of George Q. Cannon; against whom n indictment indict-ment is pending in the Third District Court of Utah. All information, and the names of those furnishing the same, will be held in the strictest confidence. .; - E. A. Ieeland, U. S. Marshal. There has been a rumor current for some weeks that all of the prominent Mormon authorities who are liable to the law on polygamy and unlawful cohabitation cohabita-tion charges, were soon to emigrate to distant lands, especially in the event of the passage of the new Edmunds bill, and it may be that Marshal Ireland has heard and believed this report, and is acting accordingly. |
