Show Serious Accident. Mr. Joseph Burton, an attache of the County Court House, and his wife, met with a rather serious accident yesterday afternoon while driving to Fort Douglas. Tney were riding in the County's bugy" and when a little distance bevond "the brow of the hill, the horse became un-, manageable, turned abruptly and made for town. The vehicle was upset and the aged couple thrown violently to the ground. The buggy top and bed were broken brok-en from the running gear and finallv the horse succeeded in dropping everythirigbut the harness, which he brought with him to town in a somewhat demoralized state. Mr. Burton found that his wrist had been badly Bprained, but aside from this neither of them sustained anything more dangerous than a severe shaking up. They didn't take in the open air concert, nor did they ride home as comfortably as they rode away. |
