Show Expect Some Filibustcrism. New Obleans, February 8. The steamer "E. B. Ward, Jr.," at this port from Pueroto Certes, reports having left in that port the steamer "Waikna," lately bought by the Honduras government. The vessel will be well armed fcr war service, as great fears of a filibustering party are entertained. Suspicion rests on the steamship "City of Mexico,1' and the schooner A'Cefalu." The latter came into Honduras port from Blue-fields Blue-fields without clearance, and had to furnish a bond of $1,000 for her release. The bond was furnished by the American consul, W. C. Burchard. |
