Show TELLURIDE TO SPEND $300,000 FOR SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS Telluride Power Company directors di-rectors at a recent meeting approved ap-proved an expedniture in 1956 of $300,000 for the improvement and enlargement of its electrical elec-trical system facilities, according accord-ing to an announcement by Or-rice Or-rice C. McShane, general manager man-ager of the company. The work to be done consists of increasing the capacity of transmission lines, distribution lines and transformers, providing provid-ing voltage regulators, tools, transportation and equipment, and also provides for a number of "wireless" radio telephones to provide rapid communication between major points on the company system. This large expenditure is necessary, Mr. McShane said, in order to provide continuous and adequate service in the company com-pany area and is an expression of the company's confidence in the future growth of the area and the progressiveness of the citizens in the company's territory. |
