Show COUNTY SCHOOL GROUP ATTENDS BEAVER MEET The current Better Schools for Beaver County movement gained Impetus last Thursday when Milford and Minersville school patrons attended the joint Beaver High and Elementary Element-ary P.-T. A. meeting, at which building deficiencies of the two Beaver school buildings were discussed. Mrs. Leah Foerster presented a comprehensive report on activities ac-tivities and aims of the Better Schools Committee, touching briefly on various parts of the Better Schools program. Beaver school patrons who made reports on Beaver school buildings were Mrs. Gladys Smith, Belnap Elementary P.-T. A. president; Rex Carter, Mrs. Ann Swindlehurst and Hal Lund, who discussed the Belnap school. Mrs. Louise Farrer, High School P.-T. A. president; Dr. W. D. Bishop, W. Gregerson, Ina McQuarrie, Conrad Grimshaw, Paul Nelson and Mrs. Joe Nelson Nel-son discussed the high school. Mayor Ray Kizer of Milford complimented the leaders of the Better Schools movement aa did C. A. Kirkham of Beaver, and both men urged county-wide county-wide cooperation in the interest inter-est of improving the schools of Beaver County. |
