Beaver Stake Sunday School officers will hold a meeting in Beaver Saturday, and Sunday will visit St. George for church instruction. Beaver Stake held missionary meeting Sunday in the Relief Society room. President Wallace Wal-lace Yardley and his counsellors were in attendance and each wards was represented. Tuesday, March 6, we had a sudden change in the weather, with cold a snow flurries after a few days of sunshine. Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday the temperature tem-perature began rising. Kenneth Roberts of Van Nuys, Calif., spent a few days here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Roberts. John Bradshaw of Baever made at trip to McGill, Nev., last week, stopping en route at Minersville to attend to business. busi-ness. o Several cases of flu have been reported here this week; also chicken pox is still making the rounds. Happy to be back homeagain after a two-month stay in the Milford Hospital i Chas. K. Jameson. He is gaining in health very nicely now. We have received word that our son in law, Bill Thiriot, is learning to wear braces at the L D S Hospital, which makes us very happy. He has been suffering from polio since Sept. 6th. They have three children urder 14 years of age. Work on the church grounds beautification program is progressing pro-gressing nicely. Looks like the coming summer will see completion com-pletion of the project, which will make a fine recreation park for townspeople and all who wish to enjoy it. The Yellow Mountain Irrigation Irriga-tion Co. has been working on the canal project the past week, getting it ready for the spring farming. Spencer E. Roberts and son Dan spent Saturday assisting his brother Phil at the Creole mining property. The boys are 'feeling more encouraged on the outlook. Three mining men from Santa Clara, Calif., visited Sunday at the Lynn Roberts home. Ralph Peterson of Las Vegas spent the week end at the home of Mrs. Ethel Myers, visiting his wife and famliy, who will remain re-main here until their home is completed. Frank- Limb, son of Byron and Norma Limb of Ruth, Nev., visited over the week end at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor. He is attending the B Y U at Provo and with his Uncle Howard enjoyed en-joyed a successful fishing trip to the Sevier river Sunday. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wood of Henderson, Nev., left for their home Monday after spending several days with parents Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood. - Several townspeople have attended at-tended the races at Santa Anita recently. Mrs. Goldie Marshall reports the thrill of a winning purse. Mr. and Mrs. Morse Gray were happy to entertain their parents, Mr. and . Mrs. E. Ed- wards of Greenville, last Saturday. Sat-urday. Wednesday evening in the L D S recreation hall an outstanding out-standing wedding reception was held. The handsome couple was Miss LaNae Davis, daughter daugh-ter of Marcine and Sylvia Davie Da-vie of Minersville, and Douglas Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Thomas of Beaver. The nuptials were performed earlier in the evening by Bishop Marshall Hollingshead. The newlyweds are both graduates of the Beaver high school. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Mott and Mr. Mott's mother, of Greenville, Green-ville, visited Mrs. Jennie Mar-quardson Mar-quardson Monday. In the afternoon aft-ernoon they drove a niece, Mrs. Carol Banks, to "Milford for medical aid. I Mrs. Ima Pryor reports her I husband, Frank, has improved after a severe attack of stomach ulcers. He has decided to undergo un-dergo surgery. Otto Schwab, a resident of Beaver, recently underwent surgery for stomach ulcers. He is reported to be getting along nicely.
