Show American Fork Day-Sponsored Day-Sponsored By Lions To Be Wednesday, August 14 American Fork Day, the annual town outing being sponsored by the local Lions Club will be definitely held Wednesday a ftp rnnnn Ancrncf 14 at Geneva resort. All the townspeople are invited 'to attend. Invitations have also been extended to Lehi and Pleasant Grove communities as well as the service organizations in each town. The big dance to be given in the evening is free to everyone. This will be staged at the resort outdoor dance hall. The opening feature of the day will be the official league baseball game between the American Fork Caveman and the Provo Timps, for which season sea-son tickets will be honored. The game is scheduled for 3 o'clock and will be played on the Geneva resort diamond. The regular schedule outlined out-lined for the league game had this one slated for the Provo lot, but through the mutual agreement of both team managers the game was arranged arrang-ed for Geneva. "Hap" Holmstead's Cavemen are out to get revenge for the double trouncing they got on July 24th. Following the baseball game, swimming swim-ming and races will be enjoyed. A band concert will be given by the American Fork Silver band during the lunch hour. Immediately after supper, the big dance in the resort hall will be held, which is free to everyone. Music will be furnished by the Harmony Night Hawks. Everyone is urged to attend and bring their friends. A complete (program (pro-gram will be given in next week'3 edition. |
