Show COPPER RANCH TO SHIP CAR ORE DAILY SOON Within the next ten days or two weeks it is expected to have the new electrical plant installed and operating at the Copper Ranch Consolidated Con-solidated mines in Beaver county. This will consist of motors, hoists, and compressors. The new outfit will be installed at the main incline working shaft, which is down 400 feet. During the past year the Copper Ranch has shipped 118 carloads of copper ore. In all, it has produced 138 cars of approximately 6900 tons. This ore has averaged from 3.8 per cent copper up to 10.5 per cent. ' Most of the ore runs high in silica, but it has a 20 to 36 per cent neutralizing iron content. The main bedded vein makes out Into the limestone adjacent to the mineralizing agencies, a monzonitic pranite, and a porphyry dike close at hand. The ore shoot has been practically practical-ly proven for a distance of-750 feet. Along the strike shafts have been sunk through the porphyry over- flow and the ore encountered at depths of sixty feet. It is estimated that right now there are not less than 200 carloads, or 10,000 tons, of shipping ore in sight. It is the expectation of the management to ship a carload daily of the ore as soon as the new equipment has been whipped into line. A mile or two from the main property pro-perty is another holding with a great vein of lower grade ore. This is seventy-nine feet wide in places. Sampling this vein shows the presence pres-ence of 1.4 to 3.55 per cent copper and 1.3 to 7.1 ounces of silver to the ton. Six carloads of the ore has been shipped from workings not deeper than seventy-five feet. |
