Show American Fork News Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Noyes were business visitors in Salt Lake City on Wednesday. Miss Thora Harris and Miss Katherine Kath-erine Rynders of Salt Lake City, were guests a day last week at the E. P. Evans home. Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Pratt and family fam-ily motored to Murray Saturday evening, even-ing, where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Pratt and family. Hayden Holindrake returned home last Thursday, after enjoying an eleven days vacation in Shelley, Idaho, Ida-ho, and Yellowstone National park. He made the trip in comipany with relatives from Pleasant Grove. Mr- and Mrs. Carl Myers of Bingham Bing-ham Canyon, were dinner guests Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bush. Thomas W. Cropper of Hinckley, is visiting indefinitely with his daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Ashby. Callers at the home of Mrs. Hannah Han-nah Dunkley Sunday were, Mrs- Louis Haines and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Crane and daughters of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Shelley and family, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Grant and baby daughter and Mr. and Mrs Owen Humphries and daughter, motored mot-ored to the Hot Pots at Midway on Labor Day, where they enjoyed a delicious de-licious chicken dinner. Mrs. T. A. Greenwood and Mrs-Jarvis Mrs-Jarvis Aydelotte were business visitors visi-tors in Salt Lake City Thursday in the Interests of the Community Acti-vitl Acti-vitl committee of the First ward. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Chipman left Thursday for Ferron, wfiere Mr. Chip-man Chip-man is principal of the schools. They have spent the summer in this city with Mr. Chipman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Chipman. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ward of Kemmerer, Wyoming, were Sunday and Monday guests at the Ruben Chipman home. Mrs. Ward was formerly form-erly Miss Haydee Adams. Mrs. Hannah Dunkley and Miss Cady Dunkley had as visitors at their home Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Craven of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Craven of Price. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Boley were guests of honor at a well appointed dinner party given by Mr. and Mrs-Walter Mrs-Walter Devey Sunday evening. Covers Cov-ers were marked for fourteen guests. Mr. and Mrs. Boley left the following day for Price, where Mr. Boley will teach in the high school there this winter. Mrs. Marion Nicholes and twin daughters of Ogdcn, came to Amerl-. can Fork last Thursday to visit Sarah and Arleen Nicholes, Mrs. Nicholes's other daughters who have spent the past year here with their grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs- Joseph Nicholes-Mrs. Nicholes-Mrs. Nicholes and daughters left the following day for Scofield to join Mr. Nicholes, who will teach' school there this winter. Mrs. Ruben Chipman and daughters, daught-ers, Eileen, Sarah and Florence, attended at-tended the big Silver Jubilee and anniversary an-niversary celebration at Eureka last Wednesday and Thursday. During their stay for the festivities, they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Myers My-ers and family. Miss Alice Ashton, the nine year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ashton, had the misfortune to break both bones in her right wrist last Monday. From last reports, the injured in-jured arm was healing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Wootton and family, who have made their home in Cedar City the past year and a half, arrived in American Fork Wednesday to make their future residence- Miss Clara Wootton, who has been their guest in Cedar City the past several months, returned home with them. . .. . - Mr. and Mrs. Edwin R- Kimball left Sunday for M'oab, where they will be engaged in leaching school this winter, Mr. Kimball as high school athletic manager and Mrs. Kimball in the grades- Mr. Kimball arrived here last Friday from, the northern states where he was on a short term mission mis-sion for the L. D- S. Church- Mrs. Kimball was a guest at tbe home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Ash-by, Ash-by, during his absence. Mr. Kimball purchased a new Ford at Detroit, and made the trip home by auto- |
