Show Annabell Miller and Raphael Greenwood Honored At Social Miss Annabell Miller of the Second ward, who leaves Salt Lake September Septem-ber 19 to fulfill a mission to the Eastern East-ern States, and Raphael Greenwood of the First ward, son of Mayor and Mrs. Roy Greenwood, just recently returned from the German mission, were honored at a farewell and homecoming home-coming social Thursday evening in the Alpine Stake Tabernacle. A splendid splen-did program under the direction of Elmer Chipman was given in the auditorium, au-ditorium, on which both Miss Miller and Elder Greenwood spoke, Miss Miller expressing her happiness in being called to labor as a missionary and Elder Greenwood relating experiences exper-iences and expressing his appreciation apprecia-tion for the priviledge he had of laboring lab-oring in this field of church work. Other numbers consisted of a selection from the Fourth ward mixed quartet, a violin duet by Lenore Crookston and Loland Priday, remarks re-marks from Bishops T. A. Greenwood and Joseph H. Storrs, a reading by Mrs. Helen Heiselt and a vocal duet by Mrs. Nan Wright and Mrs. Ora Chipman. Dancing concluded the evening's entertainment. There was a large crowd present to bid farewell and welcome home these two missionaries |
