Show Mrs. Annie Jensen Armstrong Arm-strong Answers Last Call Mrs. Annie Jensen Armstrong, wife of James Armstrong, passed away at the family residence Friday, August 30, from a complication of asthma of which she has been a sufferer for a number of years. She was born in Denmark September Septem-ber 26, I860. With htr parents, Mr. and Mrs. Soren Jensen, she came to Utah in 1868 crossing the plains by ox team in Captain Holman's company. comp-any. The family crossed the oceau in a sailing vessel. On February 1, 1883, she was married to James H. Armstrong, and from this union was blessed with seven children, six of whom survive as follows: Mrs. Alva Hansen of Sandy, Mrs. John R. Wat-.kins, Wat-.kins, Mrs. J. H. Wright, Mrs. Clyde Makin, Mrs. Clarence Gray all of this city, and Henry Armstrong of Fairfield. Fair-field. One daughter died in infancy. Twenty-two grandchildren also survive as well as the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. James Cunningham, Mrs. tlolrn Bush, Mrs. Frank Blood, Mrs. Niels Nielson, Mrs. Otto Frampton and Cyrus Jensen. She was a faithful Latter-day Saint and a devoted wife and mother. Funeral services were held Monday Mon-day afternoon, September 2, at 2 p. m. in the Fourth ward chapel, with Counselor James Peters presiding. The speakers were Leo T. Shelley, President Earl S. Greenwood and Bishop Lot Robinson. Musical numbers during the services ser-vices consisted of a vocal duet "Unanswered "Un-answered Yot" by Mrs. Nan Wright and Mrs. Helen Walker, a vocal solo "I'm A Pilgrim" by M'orle D. Steele, a violin solo "O Dry Those Tears" by Miss Ann Clayson, a vocal solo "Some Sweet Day" by Mrs. Mao Halliday and a quartet selection "I Will Give Rest" by Mrs. Nan Wright, Mrs. Helen Walker, Morle D. Steele and Bishop Robinson. , .H. , 1 The invocation was offered by Thomas S. Priday and the benediction benedic-tion pronounced by George H. Webb. Interment was made In the City cemetery, where Alva Hansen of Sandy dedicated the grave. |
