Show C. A. Grant Made Deputy District Governor In Lions Organization C- A. Grant, prominent member of the local Lions Club organization, was appointed a Deputy District Governor in the Utah-Idaho district of the Lions organization Saturday night, August 31, at the Fountain Green charter night banquet The appointment was made by Dr- Hol-man Hol-man of M't. Pleasant, governor of thft Utah-Idaho district, who stated that Lionism had grown to such an extent that he was unable to care for the business of the district in the proper manner, and needed assistance. Three ether deputies were appointed in ad-, dition to Mr. Grant, who was given the Central Utah district for his jurisdiction. juris-diction. The new position was a big surprise sur-prise to Mr- Grant, who was in attendance attend-ance at the banquet with Mr. and Mrs. Owen Humphries, Ray Shelley and the local Lion .president, Dr. G-S- Richards. Mr. Grant and Mr. Shelley, musically known as "Tabby and Bun," furnished musical entertainment enter-tainment during the evening. The Citizen joins with the Lions organization and townspeople in extending ex-tending congratulations to Mr. Grant. n |
