Show Snow, Miller and Hunter Join Legislators In Introducing 7 Bills Snow, Hunter Introduce Bills; Sillier Votes Against II.B. 25 Legislative representatives from the eleventh district either introduced intro-duced individually or joined other legislators in sponsoring seven measures during last week's sessions ses-sions of the twenty-third Utah state legislature. 5 Senator Glenn E. Snow of St. George introduced a bill repealing the 1937 law limiting the amount rft payable from the equalization fund to school districts having more than $4000 assessed valuation per school child. . tii Representative Charles R. Hun-ter Hun-ter of Cedar City introduced a bill ;i permitting the state aeronautics i j. commission to acquire and operate loj airports. He also joined other legislators in sponsoring bills to inv regulate fireworks; providing that 3o; assessment of inventories be made on their year-end values instead of on their monthly average values ee as at present; providing for sub-iji" sub-iji" mission of a budget each biennium by the stats liquor control com- mission, and authorizing municipal munici-pal bands and orchestras and their activities. He also introduced individually a measure to give S cities and towns and counties r local option regarding liquor sales, .j Senator Snow voted aye on all ;i bills passed in the senate and nay 1 on the defeated S. B. 26 providing ?! that state employees and em-l em-l ployees of political subdivisions II might organize under the state .'; labor relations act. He offered an ' amendment to S. B. 4 appropriat-V appropriat-V ing from sales tax revenues an amount needed, to pay any defi-ciences defi-ciences in the district school fund and district equalization fund dur-I dur-I ing the school year ending June J 30. 1939. It was defeated 9 to 13. V The bill as then passed, ear marks all sales tax funds to welfare and j old age relief.
