Show Everybody Sing Group singing, which has been popular for many years in other countries, has gradually come into its own "in this country. A considerable part of the charm of life among those European nationalities, as observed by travelers, has been the extensive development of musical groups, which the amateur, might well make similar professional groups look to their laurels. In St George, the Los Amigos club has group singing as one of its main attractions. The evening is started off with the club song and throughout the dinner, the club members join in singing. Probably one of the main attractions at-tractions to group singing is that most of us aren't much "shucks" at singing as individuals but we can all join in with the crowd and have a good time. Other clubs, such as the Rotary and Lions, have long made a practice of singing since it tends to break down self-restraint and develops fellowship. |
