It's all right to laugh at yourself, and highly beneficial to do so. It is even permis-sible to laugh with your friends but never make the mistake of laughing at your friends. Not every jterson is psychic enough to understand that your merriment is an expres-sion of friendly sympathy and good fellowship. They hear the. raucous laughter but they sel-dom read your mind. The person who can laugh at his or' her, mistakes will rise to become master of individ-ual life. One who takes mis-fortune with a smile, exhibits greater courage than those who grumble and complain and is on the road to overcoming evil. Artichokes are really peren-nials, ordinarily grown where frost does not occur. The varieties of tomatoes that grow small plants should not be pruned. Growth is never sufficient to permit reducing it. Extremely fine seeds, such as those of petunias, do not need to be covered after sowing. Just press them over gently to the soil with the palm of your hand. per.
