Show Devils travel to Provo for game tonight After losing two tough ones during the week, the SHS Red Devils have no respite when they look northward toward to-ward the towering Provo Bulldogs Bull-dogs whom they meet tonight in the Provo gym. The game was stepped . up to tonight so that it would not interfere with the BYU game Friday night. Sufficeth it to say that the Provo team earlier this season sea-son rang up 93 counters against the Devils in the local gym. Fans are hoping for a' different story on the Provo court. Orem won over the Red Devils in the mid-week game last week 58-46 although the Devils were playing without the services of three top men, Strong, Johnson, who decided to go home to his parents who now live in Neb. and Steve Strong, top scorer for the Devils. Orem found they were hard pressed at times, but maintained a steady lead throughout the contest. Reid with 14, Groneman with 9, and Senior with 8 were top scorers for the Devils. Friday night the Devils played a spotty game with defensive lapses which cost them several baskets as they lot to Carbon 59-68. The Devils Dev-ils were led by the steller performance per-formance of Roland Senior who came up with 22 counters. Strong got 15 and Reid 10. Carbon took a 10-3 lead right off but the Devils rallied ral-lied and tied them and went ahead of them for a short time before the end of the first quarter. However the Di-nos Di-nos came storming back and held a 31-21 halftime lead, a margin they increased to 1 points at the three quarter mark, 54-40. A rally in the final quarter spurred by Sen ior, Strong and Allen feU short 9 points. Reid, who looked look-ed good the first half of the game, was unable to click during dur-ing the second half, which hurt the Devils. Groneman did yoeman work on the bank-boards. bank-boards.
