Cullimore trio bags big buckin I Fairview Canyon as hunt ends Jim, Cody and Bart Cullimore came home with a big buck, eight points on each side, from the recent deer hunt. All three of them are laying claim to the deer since they all shot at the same time and no one is sure which one of them downed the animal. Cody said they bagged the buck in Fairview Canyon on Sunday, Oct. 26. The spread is 29 inches, he noted. ! The hunters were about 650 yards away when they shot the deer. Cody said it stood out so well there was no doubt that it was a buck. It took the trio 35 minutes lo get lo the deer after they shot it. They labored for six hours to get the 200 pound buck back lo the truck which was two miles away. Cody said they saw a lot of deer on the five or six trips they look during the hunt. He added thai there was a nice buck wilh the one they shot but it got away. Jim and his two sons usually go hunting together every year. Jim said, "It's the best buck I've gotten in 40 years of deer hunting." Cody lives in Pleasant Grove with his wife and children. Jim is a native of Lindon now living in north Orem. Bart lives at home wilh his folks. |
