Show AAU to hold cross-country junior Olympics The Utah Association AAU USA Junior Olympics State Championship Champion-ship in cross-country running will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, at East Canyon Resort beside East Canyon Recreation Area, Morgan. The competition is open to all young athletes up to age 18 and will begin at 9 a.m. following registration starting at 7:30 a.m. The races will be divided in age divisions as follows: Boys and girls 10 and under. Boys and girls 11 and 12. Boys and girls 13 and 14. Boys and girls 15 and 16. Boys and girls 17 and 18. There is an entry fee of $4 and entries close Nov. 18. A 1986 AAU membership card is also required of all participants. Athletes may enter as individuals or as a team member, and a team is to be no more than eight athletes. The AAU USA Junior Olympic program is nationally sponsored by Sears, Roebuck and Co., and they will provide official medals to be awarded to the first 15 individual winners in each age gender division as well as to the top three teams in each age gender division.
