Graham, of Fair-view, Fair-view, is visiting, this week with her daughter, 1 Mrs. Harold Christensen. The Mothers Study dub held their annual Mothers' day program Thursday afternoon, at the home of Mrs. Reed Bird. Twenty-five members and' their mothers were present. A splendid program was given, beginning with community singing, lend by Mrs. June Pierce. Roll call was answered with sentiments senti-ments appropriate to Mothers' day, and ns each member responded she presented her witCh a carnation. Following the roll call. Mrs. Horace FerrndJl of Spanish Fork, played ''Maggie" on the piano-accordiau. Mr. J. K. Booth sang a solo and Mrs. May Huntington read a Mothers' Moth-ers' day story.' Mrs. J. o. Reynolds gave a reading, which was followed by a solo dance by Miss Toss Childs. The hostess served refreshment. The Seagull girls of the Second Ward entertained their mothers Wednesday evening at tlie home of Mrs. Lekis J. Whitney. There were present twenty-one girls and their mothers, and also four other gnosis. Mrs. Louise Wiseomhe. Mrs. Nell Alleman, M rs. May Flygare and Mrs. Glenn Dallin. Tlie following program was carried out: a vocal solo, "Dear Little -Mother of Mine", by Jennie Blown, a song hy all of the girls. "My Mother Dear," a reading by Maurine Fullmer, a solo dance by Darley Crandall. a mother's day story by .Mrs. Glen Dallin. a vocal duet by Lucy Wain-wrlght. Wain-wrlght. and Jennie Brown and a vocal solo hy Madeline Harrison. The program was followed by refreshments. re-freshments. The Junior advisor gave each mother and daughter a bouquet of pansics. The Wednesday Evening Bridge club met this week wilh Mrs. Harold Har-old Christensen. There were three tallies of Bridge, with Mrs. Mark Tripp winning th0 high score prize and Mrs. Ike Johns the draw prize. The rooms were prettily decorated with tulips. The Alpha Bela clnli met at the home of Mrs. John Groesbeck Thursday afternoon for their Mother's Moth-er's day program. Mrs. Milan Straw, i Mrs. Cbailes Buyer and Mrs. Josephine Brinton were tlie assisting assist-ing hostesses. There were twenty three members present and each had a guest. The decorations were carnations and white lilacs. Mrs. Eliza Thorn gave n rending y) followed by a saw solo by Ilarley Jenkins. Miss Mellia Condie sang a solo and Miss Sarah Holley gave a diaimttic reading. ' Mrs. Mattlien Young played an accordiim solo. Each mother who was a guest was presented with a potted rose bush. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. W. O. McKenzie returned re-turned Saturday from California and visited relatives and friends in Springville before returning to their home in Ogden. Mrs. Emma Long entertained at a shower Wednesday evening for Mrs. Oakley Noaks, a recent bride. There were twenty guests present. Games were followed by refreshments. refresh-ments. Tlie hostess was assisted by Mrs. Will Perry, Mrs. Ernest Oakley Oak-ley and Mrs. Dan Sumsiou. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lawrence, of Salt Lake, spent the week-end wilh Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McKenzie. Mc. and Mrs. Hnrvey Hutchinson, of Payson, and Mr. and Mrs. Mnn-ford Mnn-ford Hutchinson were tlie guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Hutchinson. Mrs. Edwin Rowland is spending a few days in Spanish Fork witll her daughter Mrs. Gleu Thomas.' Mrs. Bert Blumell, who has beei living in Lyman, Wyo., has been visiting Mrs. Will Bringlmrst before be-fore going to Logan to make her home. Mrs. Blumell was formerly Miss Elizabeth Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buyer motored mot-ored to Suit Lake Tuesday. Mrs. X. J. Deal spent several days in Spanish Fork visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ben Argyle. Miss Elsie Darker and Miss La-dine La-dine Darker spent Friday in Salt Lake. Mrs. Eva Starr, of Richfield, is visiling her sister, Mrs. Grace Clark. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Baker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wavue Johnson John-son and family, .Mr. and Mrs. W. .1. Groesbeck and. daughter, Marian, took their lunch and molon-li to Castella Sunday.
