Show SPRINGVILLE TO WAGE WAR ONWHITETOP Springville City will cooperate with tho county in n war on-White-top and other noxious weeds, according ac-cording to action taken by the city officials Wednesday evening. Councilman Coun-cilman William Whitehead brought the matter to the attention of the council and stated that Springville hns been asked to nssist in procuring procur-ing a carload of salt with which to down these ever increasing enemies of mankind. The matter wns referred re-ferred to the streets and walks committee com-mittee with power to act, Ivan W. Young, who wns reeom-1 reeom-1 mended to the council for the position posi-tion of city recreational director, was appointed to that place and the appointment confirmed. Tlie committee on streets and walks was impowered to proceed with repairing th bridge on Fourth South and Fifth East street. Mayor Maycock reiwrted that the city had no legal right to vote its! stock in the Springville Irrigation district according to a recent decision de-cision of the district court in the case. |
