Show 1916 Water Supply The following report of the U. S. Weather Bureau relative to the Sevier watershed gives one an idea of the January snowfall thruout the territory which supplies sup-plies the Delta country with water wat-er for irrigation: Nearly every correspondent reported the heaviest snow in January for many years, depths ranging as high as 108 inches. The condition of the snow varies, some reported that it was packed, pack-ed, and others that it was loose. Drifts occured everywhere, and at some places the y were very deep. All observers reported much more snow than at, the last of January, 1915, more thar the average, and that the prospects pros-pects were excellent for a good water supply. The water supply for the stati for the coming season is assurec and the outlook for a bounteoui harvest for all parts of Utah i: : excellent. |
