Show COUNCILNAMES APPOINTIVE CITY OFFICERS First Business of Meeting Saturday Afternoon Was Balloting on Appointive Officers for the Town The first business to come before be-fore the nowiy sworn in mayor and council of the city of St. George Saturday was the election elec-tion of the appointive officers for the ensuing two years. The names were voted on by ballot and the following were elected to the various positions: City attorney, Orval Hafen, reappointed. Justice of the peace, Harold S. Snow, reappointed. Health officer, Dr. D. A. McGregor, Mc-Gregor, reappointed. Sexton, J. M. Moody, reappointed. reap-pointed. Watermaster, Don Carter, to take the place of Wm. Empey. Street superintendent, M. W. Andrus, to take the place of David Da-vid Foremaster. Garbage master, to be taken up with city marshal. Superintendent of waterworks, R. C. Lund, Jr., reappointed. City marshal, John M. Cottam, reappointed. Night watchman, Fred Ward, to take the place of Milton Walker, who filled the unexpired unex-pired term of the late Lorenzo Bringhurst. City engineer, Robert Ken-worthy, Ken-worthy, in place of W. W. Cannon. Can-non. The appointive officers will assume their positions on February Feb-ruary 1st. |
