Show DOGS AN ORDINANCE Amending Chapter 5, Title 9 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of St. George, Utah. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of St. George, Utah. Section 1. Chapter Amended. Chapter 5, Title 9, of the 1930 Revised Ordinances of the City of St. George, Utah, is hereby ammended to read as follows: Section ICO. Collector, appointments, ap-pointments, etc. The Mayor, by and with the advice and con sent of the Council and at the time and in the manner provided pro-vided by law, may appoint some suitable and competent person to the office of dog tax collector, collec-tor, who shall qualify in the manner and hold office for the term provided by law, and shall receive as compensation $2.00 per month. Section 1G7. Harboiinjr Dor Without License. It shall be unlawful for any person to own or harbor any dog within the corporate limits of St. George City, without first having made application to the dog tax collector col-lector and procuring a license so to do. This section shall include in-clude every dog which shall be two months old at any time during the calendar year. Section H. Amount of T;i. The amount required for the license aforesaid shall be two dollars for each male dog and four dollars for each female dog. which shall exempt the clog so licensed for the calendar year during which such liee;:ri? i issued. Section 170. Killing of Dogs. Any unlicensed or unregistered dog, or any dog not collared as provided in the next preceding section, or any dog whether registered or not, known to be vicious or to have bitten any person, or any female dog running run-ning at large within the city limits while in heat, or any dog found running at large after dark and before sunrise, whether whe-ther registered or not, may immediately im-mediately be killed by any peace officer or the dog tax collector, col-lector, whenever and wherever found. Section 171. Dogs in Chinch Proliibited. It shall be unlawful for any owner or person -r. charge of any dog to knowingly permit such dog to enter or remain re-main in any place of public worship during religious hours. Section 172. Removal of Registration Tag. Misrepresentation Misrepresen-tation of Age. It shall be unlawful un-lawful for any person, except the owner or possessor, to deprive de-prive any registered dog of its collar or tag; or for any person to put a registration tag on any dog not registered; or to misrepresent mis-represent the age of any dog for the purpose of avoiding the payment of the license required by this chapter. Section 173x1. Vicious or dangerous dogs. It shall be unlawful un-lawful for any person to suffer or allow any dog known to be vicious or dangerous, or to have bitten any person, whether whe-ther registered or not, to run at large in St. George City. Section 174x3. Toi timing dogs proliibited. It shall be unlawful un-lawful for any person to maltreat mal-treat or torure any dog, or having hav-ing the right or authority to kill any dog, to kill such dog in an inhuman manner. Section 175V."?. Iog disturbing disturb-ing Peare. It shall be unlawful for any person to own. keep or harbor within the city limits any dog which by barking, howling or yelping, disturbs the quiet of any neighborhood or person. Section 172l.
