Show New Vicar 3 Takes Helm At St. Francis New Vicar for St. Francis Episcopal Church, Father Sanford (Sandy) Hampton, arrived in Moab last week and will assume his duties at the church on September 1. Father Sandy comes to St. Francis after serving five years at St. James Church in Holiday, Utah. Prior to work at St. James, Father Sandy spent one year in a parish in Chicago. Born in Manhaffet, New York, Father Sandy complet ed college at Northwestern University and was in business bus-iness in Chicago witn the Ruben Donnely Corporation for eight years before entering enter-ing seminary. In 1963, he entered en-tered Seabury Western in Evanston, HI., graduating in 1966. He is married and has four children, one son in the Marines, Ma-rines, another in high school, and a third in junior high. His daughter will be in kindergarten kin-dergarten this year. He and his wife, Marilyn, have indicated in-dicated that they are very happy to be serving in the Moab area and that they are looking forward to their work. 6 Father Hampton |
