LANDER, -- (AP) search parties combed the Wkid River Mountains went of here Saturday for a lignt plane believed to have gone down just after the start of an air race. .The plane was one of the 27 AJr fend ground ehtebed in the annual Dander to Jackpot, Nev., air race which started Saturday morning from the Lander airport. Race officials said the pilot of the single-engin-e craft reported he was losing power after takeoff and shortly would attempt to land in a ' canyon. No further word was heard from the pilot.
