Resident open bull elk applications ap-plications will be taken August 1 through 8 at all Division offices of-fices and at Sevier County Courthouse in Richfield. However, How-ever, individuals are allowed to buy another applicant's permit providing they have that person's per-son's 1973 big game license in posession at the time of purchase. pur-chase. Resident permits cost $15. Nonresidents may apply for elk permits by mail or in person per-son at the Division's Salt Lake office only until 5 p.m. August 8. They must include their 1973 big game license number or an application for a big game license with their elk permit application. If more than the 100 allotter elk permits are applied for, a drawing will be held. Unsuccessful elk applicants appli-cants will be returned their deposit de-posit of $75 each for elk permit and big game license. They may specifically request the big game license for deer hunting hunt-ing with or without the elk permit. In this case, they will receive a deer license and $75 . returned for the elk permit.
