Show Commercial Club Meeting. The Commercial Club met in tho court house last Tuesday evening. After discussing the matter of a high school for Parowan for some time, the matter was tabled for two weeks, at which time it will again be brought up for consideration. On motion the club confirmed the appointment of the county fair committee com-mittee of two years ago to' act again this year, and authorized the officers of the club to work in connection with this committee, in considering tho advisability ad-visability of holding a "home coming" 'n Parowan this year. The secretary was instructed to write to the Deseret News requesting 'hnt W. L. Adams be engaged as cor--espondent at this place for that pane pa-ne r. George A. Mitchell made the suggestion sug-gestion that the club consider at ?omo future time the advisability of jstabliBhing a nursery east of the -ity, which could bo irrigated by the wrplus city water not being used at nrcsent, and the labor necessary for his enterprise furnished by the men and boys who are out of employment luring the time when work would be needed upon the fruit farm. t The club udjourncd to meet in two weeks. |
