Show DBASTIC ACTION" TAKEN AGAINST THE FACULTY. DKNVER, April 24. Tho trustees of the Colorado State School of Mines last night took drastic, action in the troubles which have recently existed at the school be-1ween be-1ween the superintendent and the-faculty. The trustees havc been holding short sessions ses-sions for the last week, taking testimony, and last nlKht announced that the resignation resig-nation of Superintendent Palmer and the entire faculty, -comprising more than twenty professors, would be demanded at once, and that the school would be entirely en-tirely rc organized. Two we ?ks ago the whole faculty went out on strike -because they could not acreo with Superintendent Palmer. That precipitated a deadlock In the school, as neither the professors nor the superintendent superin-tendent would recede from the stand they had taken. Then the trustees took a hand. ' |
