Show HEAVY LOSS OFSHEEPMEN Weakened Herds Cannot Stand the Journey to Summer Ranges. The losses of the sheepmen in Tooele county have been especially heavy this spring, many of the big owners having lost from 20 per cent to r.O per cent of their herds. The road from Garfield Beach to Skull valley is lined with carcasses of the animals an-imals that have died while the herds were bring moved. Though the sheep ha-.4e had an easy winter and have c ome out in good shape this spring, the lossev are particularly heavy. In winter the animals thrive on dry grass, but upon the appearance of the first blade of green they refuse to eat the dry grass and starve. The herds are being moved to summer ranges at this time and weakened from the exposure of the winter, are unable to s'and the journey.
