Show ENTERPRISE Born, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Terry on September 11; a son to Mr. and Mrs. Durward Terry on September 12 at the Cedar City hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Antone Ivins of Salt Lake City were business visitors here Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jed Terry of Motoqua are here visiting friends and relatives. Work at the Holt mines has been stopped and everything nailed nail-ed up. Just two guards have been left to look after things. This throws a number of our citizens "out of employment. Ben Swapp has gone to St. George to get his wife who has been in the hospital there for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Murry of Salt Lake City are here visiting. visit-ing. They came to be with Mrs. Murry's father, Bishop Holt, in his last illness. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pett.t and Mr .and Mrs. Frank Petty of Cedar City were here to attend at-tend the funeral services of Mr. Holt. A canning project was started here for people on relief on the 15th of August. Mrs. I. H. Lamb was placed in charge of the project The work has run constantly with the exception of Sunday, since it started In the month it has run, 1543 cans of string beans, 1569 cans of sweet corn, some beets and some pears have been canned. Mrs. Lamb has been on the job constantly and given many hours of service free in order to help people to help themselves. This is the first project ever started that really seems to have stimulated a desire de-sire in the people to help themselves. them-selves. The project has not been closed and indications are that many more cans of vegetables will be canned. The following people from St. George were in attendance at Bishop Holt's funeral on Sunday: President, W. O. Bentley, W. W. McArthur, George F. Whitehead, Edward R. Frei, Joseph T. Atkin, B. Jarvis, Jr., John Cottam, W. W. Cannon, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hafen, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Nelson, Nel-son, , Mrs. R. A. Cannon, Mrs. Jennie Hall, Mrs. Rachel Cottam, Mr. and Mrs. Albert E.
