An excellent time is reported. 1 Miss Gwendolin Anderson entertained enter-tained about twenty five of her little friends at a party given in honor of her 'eleventh birthday. The afternoon after-noon was spent in merry games. Dainty refreshments were served. A party was given Wednesday evening by the faculty to the members mem-bers of the Board of Education and the eighth grade Graduates. An informal in-formal program was given, after which games were played and refreshments re-freshments served. Drs. Dave Edmunds, Lafayette' Reese and Byron Reese operated upon ten patients for adenoids and . . T,r,1or The tonsils at fairview iml operations were all successful. Having Hav-ing three doctors gives the people better protection and seems to meet with better success. May 13th, Mrs. Carl Sundwall, Mrs. H. P. Hansen and Mrs. Bruce Cox gave a gypsy tea party in honor of the lady teachers of the public school. They vere taken in Autos two miles South of town to a grove where they played games, gathered flowers and cooked dinner by a camp fire. About twenty enjoyed the party. par-ty. Miss Elinor Potter left Fairview last week for New York City where she expects to spend a couple of weeks with relatives and friends. About the first of July she will sail for Alaska where she expects to perform per-form a three years mission for the Presbyterian Church. She is accompanied accom-panied by Mr. Johns and family from Mt. Pleasant. A number of Miss Potters friends and neighbors spent a pleasant afternoon with her at her home Wednesday May 6th. On May 13th one of the most successful suc-cessful years of school we have ever had came to a close. Excellent work has been done in all grades and a large majority of the pupils were promoted. Through the good management man-agement of Principal J. W. Christian-son, Christian-son, the books and supplies have been very economically handled. The" waste has been reduced to a minimum. There are thirty three graduates from the eighth grade. The principal should also be complimented compli-mented on the order and discipline the school has maintained. |
