Show rHlI) Litems P. A telephone message was received Saturday evening by Mrs. Geo. Clem-ensen Clem-ensen stating that her sister Mrs. Josephine Shepherd of Benjamin had died from the result of an operation the preceeding day. Funeral services servic-es were to be held at Benjamin Tuesday, Tues-day, May 12th. Mrs. Clemeusen left Monday afternoon to attend the funeral. fun-eral. She will return Wednesday to Springville where Mr. Clemensen will meet her, and they will journey to Chicago to attend the meeting of the general assembly. Mrs. Shepherd was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant. Al Nislson and John Stansfield also al-so attended the funeral from Mount Pleasant. The W. C. T. U. and Mothers' Meeting Meet-ing will be held at the home of Mrs. F. C. Jensen Friday, May 2 2nd, at 3:30 o'clock p. m. Lydia Matson returned from Salt LiaKe ruesaay or cms ween. N. S. Nielsen has been in Price I several days during the past week, i He returned to Mt. Pleasant Tuesday. Tues-day. Miss Clay Allred of Salina and Miss Marguardson of Elsinore stopped off at Mt. Pleasant a few days this week to visit with Dr. and Mrs. R. A. Burch. Miss Allred is Supervisor of the Primary grades of the Sevier county schools and Miss Marguardson is a teacher at Elsinore. The two young ladies are on their way to Washington, D. C. to visit friends at the Capital. Later they will go to Chicago and attend Summer School at the University of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Chas Musig have returned re-turned from Payson where they have been several days of the past week, visiting with their daughter, Kate, who has been teaching school at that place. The closing exercises of the school year was the attractive features fea-tures of the week. The lecture on Personal Hygiene to be given by Miss A. V. North, on May 18, 1014, will be held in the North Ward Chapel at 7:30 P. M. All ladies are invited. Advt. n i i |
