Cheryl Markgraf was the speaker at last week's Kiwanis Club meeting. She recently returned from serving an LDS mission in the northern part of Russia including Siberia. She talked about the conditions of Russia and the people. She compared their situation to how Americans would feel if they were told the president was a fake and all the good things America stands for were really a fraud. The Russian people wrestle with making a new life in a new democratic democracy. She talked about how they are coping. Cheryl also sang songs in Russian. Her parents, Don and Emily Markgraf, were special guests. This week's Kiwanis meeting will be the President's Party with partners. Widows of former Kiwanians are invited as special guests.
