Show Oak City Offerings (Too late for last week.) ' A big- turnout of men and teams have been at work on the road beteewn Oak City and Del--ta. When this road is completed complet-ed it will be much closer and better to travel. Walter Carlson, who has been down with rheumatism for some time is getting around again. Mr. Stork again made his ap-pea' ap-pea' ranee in Oak City, leaving a baby girl at the home of Mr. and Mvii L. R. Webb. ' Eddie Anderson and James McCardell, of Hinckley, were in town last week on business. Dr. Broddus was here last week' testing the eyes of the school children, and others. Friday night, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Elder gave their wedding dance. This was one of the best dances . of the season. Two orchestras were present and furnished plenty of music. After the dance a crowd accompanied the young couple to their home and enjoyed a big oyster supper. sup-per. Mr. and Mrs. Ely Rawlinson, of Delta, made a special trip to attend the wedding of Mr. Ravvl-inson's Ravvl-inson's sister, Mr. Clinton Dutaon left last week for Logan where he will attend school this winter- The rabbits are doing a great deal of damage to the fall grain around Oak City. A number of fields that were nice and green not long ago now are all eaten off. It seems like something must be done to encourage the people to get after the rabbits. One good way is a bounty like we had last year. Everybady investigate the thing and see if something cannot be done to destroy this pest. We would be pleased to hear from our neighboring neigh-boring towns conserning this rabbit pest. So manv Utah people have learned learn-ed weaving, basketry, lace making, mak-ing, wooti and metal work in Europe that the exhibit should represent a wide range of work and the department begs anyone any-one in this or surrounding states who has done any work in art and crafts to write the Art Department De-partment of the College about |
