Show Holden Happenings Mrs. Sarah Johnson is slowly recovering from an attack of pleurisy pneumonia. The young son of M. Mills and wife died Nov. 25th of heart trouble. He has had a lingering illness for several months. Funeral Fun-eral sevices were held Saturday afternoon. The students from the M. H. S. and the M. S. A. were home for thanksgiving. The Wood Haluing dance given Nov. 24th was a perfect success. Thanksgiving night another dance was given. f Thursday night the M. I. A. Dramatic Co. presented "The Daughter of the Desert" to a crowded house. All of the players play-ers did excellent work. The home Economies Ladies of Holden set Nov. 21 as bridge building day. The town was districted and a chairman in each district was appointed. He was informed by a committee what bridges were required and the name of his helpers. Nine excellent bridges were built, eight of which were in the northeast district. - We hope the other parts of town will manifest man-ifest more public spirit and be on hand the next call. Several men and teams have gne to finish grading the road to the ridge. Mrs. ElTie Stott was operated on for appendicitis in Salt Iake City last Tuesday by Dr. Stephens. Steph-ens. She is reported rapidly improving. Miss Irene Mackleprang spent Thanksgiving with her sister Mrs. Bruce Stephensen. |
