Tho slate board of equalization of Idaho has just completed recapitulation of the assessment returns from forty-one counties of tho state, which shows that Lhe people of Idaho will pay taxes this fall on a total of $323,155,872. the assessed as-sessed value of all taxable property In Idaho. The board of equalization fLxcd the assessment of the Idaho Power com pany at $7,000,000. Friday in Boise, Dfficers of tho company filed protest ugainst this heavy assessment, stating stat-ing that this amount, if not changed, will "Jeopardize tho company's credit." rho protest further asserts that if this issessment is allowed to stand it will throttle and impede tho company in fdrther expansion.
