Show WAR CHARITIES FROM FREE MONEY OYSTER BAY. N. Y., Aug. 25. Colonel Co-lonel Theodore Roosevelt tonight made public a list of war charities to which he has donated the proceeds of tho Nohel peace prize awarded him for his work in connection with the peace conference at Portsmouth, which ended end-ed the Russo-Japanese war. Tho former president originally had turned the fund over to the government govern-ment for the establishment of a peace commission, but as no action toward this end had been taken, he recently asked congress to return it to him. Following Is the list of donations: American Rod Cross $6900; Mrs. Theodoro Roosevelt, Jr., for use in connection with her Y. M. C. A. work in France. $5000; National War Work council of tho Y. M. C. A. $1000; war activities committee of the Knights ot Columbus. ?4000; Jewish Felfaro board for war activities, $4000; Salvation Salva-tion Army war fund. $4000; Y. M. C. A. war work council, colored, $4000; Miss Emily Tyler Carow, at Uorto Maurizo. Italy, for Italian Red Cross work, $1000, and Langdon Warner, acting American vice-consul at Harbin and Vladivostok, for use among Czecho-Slovaks. $1000. Other donations Include ono of $1000 to Madame Major Botchwarova. organizor of the Russian Legion of Death for use "as she deems wise"; $1000 to Herbert C. Hoover for uso in Belgium; $1000 to Paul Shlmmon for use among Armenian and Assyrian Christians; $1000 to the Belgium minister min-ister for relief of Belgian refugees in Holland; $500 to Mrs. Mary Cadwal-ladcr Cadwal-ladcr Jones for relief work in France to sufferers In Meurth-Et-Mosello; $500 to Count Ishll for tho Japaneso ; Red Cross; $500 to Leslie M.
