Show , Helen Wheeler and Lucy Roy-lance Roy-lance recently spent an enjoyable vacation in California. Mary Colzanie of Helper visited the past week here with Shirley Wheeler. Albert Swenson, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., arrived here the latter part of last week. Mrs. Ruth Bennion and baby of Hurricane were guests of Mrs. Norma Richardson during a few days of the past week. Ensign Bertha Bearnson of Spanish Pork is home on leave from the SPARS and visited with friends here last week. Theo Childs, who is employed at Clearfield, spent her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Childs, and other relatives here. Mrs. Russell J. Laney (Mary Louise Wingate) and baby are vis-, iting at the home of the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Laney, at Woods Cross. Staff Sgt. Fran Karoleski and wife of Kearns, formerly of New York, spent a few days of the past week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Allan at Mapleton. Mr. and Mrs. Bert West of Benjamin Ben-jamin visited her sister, Mrs. Fred Wilmott, here the past week. Mr. and Mrs. West's fifth son went into the service, and she has one other left at home. During the past week, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pickett and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Pickett of Gunnison, visited their aunt, Mrs. Fred Wilmott, Wil-mott, here. Both men are leaving leav-ing for the service. Mrs. Adele King of Fairfield, Me., mother of Dr. C. A. King, is visiting at the home of. Drs. C. A. and Mary King of this city. She came on account of the illness and death of her little granddaughter, grand-daughter, Karen. Mrs. Ellen Anderson and daughter daugh-ter Elaine recently returned from Luke's Field, Ariz., wthere they attended the graduation exercises of their son and brother, Floyd Anderson, who received his wings and a second lieutenant commission. |
