Show FINE TRIBUTES PAID LIFE OF WM. BANNER i Impressive funernl services for William Banner, who died suddenly at his home at Scenic, Ftnh, Friday evening, were held Tuesday afternoon after-noon in the Fourth ward chapel, with Dell Thorn of the bishopric in charge. The opening prayer wns offered by Willis Strong, of the high council, coun-cil, after which Miss Inez Wheeler and Helen Pnlfreyuian sang "Teach , Me To Pray." The speakers., each of whom paid glowing tributes to the character of Mr. Banner, were: Ford Crandall and Seymour Mendenhall, Men-denhall, Jr., of the Fourth ward bishopric. Other musical numbers were furnished by Mr. and Mrs. ; Guy Brown, who sang a duet, 1 accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Lola Weight: Helen Palfreyman also sang "For There's No Night There," accom-nnnied accom-nnnied by. Josephine Sanford and Inez Wheeler, and Helen Palfreyman Palfrey-man sang the closing number. "Resignation," accompanied by Helen Hel-en Salisbury. The benediction was offered by Seymour Mendenhall. He received his Cfirlv education in the public schools of this city and for tlie past few years bad been working as section foreman In Spanish Fork canyon for I he D. & R. G. W. railroad. He is survived by his .wife, Mrs. Christine Chris-tine Nie'son Banner; his parents. Mr. and Mrs. William G. Banner of Springville. and the following brothers and sister. Mrs. Alice Sor-ensen Sor-ensen of Los Angeles; Mrs. Levi R. Thomas, of Hiawatha ; Miss Laura Banner. Ernest, Arthur, Arch and June Banner, all of Springville. |
