An adjournment was then takon until 9 a. m. Thursday. Ou Thursday the hearing of the case was resumed. Mrx. Carson was put on the stand aud testified that Bannon bad Kissed her aud had put his arms aronud her about a dozen times, and she had told him to behave himself. D. B. Carson testified in his own behalf be-half and denied having written any letter let-ter to Bannon concerning his wife, or having made any arrangemeute to have her seduced by Bannon. Bannon also denied that any arrange monts had been ontered into betweon himself and Carson concerning th3 lat-ters lat-ters wife. He also denied having received re-ceived any letter Irom Carson in relation rela-tion to this matter aud said that the letter airs. Carson claimed to have opened was read to her by tutu and one O'Donnel was the writer thereof. Phillips was recalled and stated that Bannon had 9woru before him that the letter was from Carson. After brief arguments by Assistant County Attorney Eichnor and N. D. H9 bound the defenders defen-ders over in $2,000 each, and emphatically emphati-cally refused to accede to Mr. Siraup's request that the bond be lowered. Carson stated immediately that be would not attempt to get bonds, and he and Bannon were taken to the penitentiary peniten-tiary lr-te in the afternoon. Carson Case, Detective Dan Carson, a former R. G. W. conductor, was arrested on July 29th on a warrent sworn out by his wife, charging him with conspiring to have her seduced. It appears that Carson Eent one Bannon to his house to take care of the garden etc aud to board at the house. Mrs. Carson claims to hive opened a letter from her hnsbaud addressed to Bannon and discovered that the said Bannon was at her house for no other purpose than to seduce her, aud that Carson wanted her seduced so as to have grounds for a divorce, and that Brannon had attempted to take improper liberties liber-ties with her and had made indescent proposals to her, all of which she had resented.
