Show TWOAOCIDEWTS CHARLES MiLLER SERIOUSLY INJURED. IN-JURED. A Lad Named Nelsson Breaks His Arm Bolh Accident Caused by Falling Off a Load of Hay, Charles Miller, a young man of thii city, met with a very serious accident yesterday afternoon. It appears that Mr. Miller was hauling haul-ing hay from the field when a dog ran out aud frightened his horses, causing caus-ing them to run away. The sudden jar caused the hay on which Mr.M'ller was sitting to slide forward and he fell off alighting on the donble tree between the wheels and the horses, and was drag ged several blocks, the front wheel repeatedly re-peatedly passing over his right leg, Daldy crushing it abont six inches above the aukle. After geing about two blocks he fell from his position on the donble tree aud the wheel passed over his body breaking eight ribs on the right side and two ou the left. It Is feared he has sustained severe internal injuria. He was picked np in front of Jed Crawford's house, placed on a litter and carried home, Drs. Hosforl were summoned aud did all in their power to relieve the young man of the Intense pain he was suffering. They set the broken ribs and with the assistance of Mr. Lindsey tuey managed to dress the broken leg, but they fear it will have to be amputated, as it is so badly crushed that the bones were protruding in all directions. The young man was nnder the iuflnedce of chloroform during the operation and the doctors were afraid that he would not return to conscious ness, but he rallied and appeared to rest easier after the operation was over. He was getting along as well as conld be expected this morning, and, although he is still iu a very critical condition, the chances are very good for his recovery. re-covery. THE OTHEE. On Monday last a lad about six years of age named Lawrence Kelson waa riding rid-ing on a load of hay, when he fell off and sustained a compound fracture of the left elbow. Dr. Hosford dresjed tha arm aud the little fellow is doing nicely and will be all right in a few days. Tuis makes a total of four accidents that have ocuurred during the last two two weeks, and all have happened in the same way failing off a load of hay. 1 The names of the parties are: Couu-.
