Show Panguitch To Host Band Festival Pangultch will play host to all the high schools In Region IV on Friday. April 29, wheu the annual Region IV Band and Chorus Music Festival will be held here. All high schools In Sanpete, Sevier, Wayne. Piute', and Garfield Counties will send representative musical groups to the fete. Fourteen bands and sixteen choruses have already registered for the Festival. The day's activities will begin at 8 o'clock In the morning when the Pangultch High School Band will play Its required numbers In the Social Hall. Other bands will follow at thirty minute Intervals, providing a continuous concert from 8 o'clock In the morning until 3 o'clock In the afternoon. At 10:00 a.m. the Pangultch High School Girls' Glee club will lead ofr the Choral events In the Pangultch High School Gym where a total of sixteen choruses will perform until 2:00 P.M. At 3:00 P.M. a mammoth parade of bands will begin. Each band' will be given five minutes in the Main Street block to demonstrate It's best marching form ations. Immediately following the parade of bands, a massed band concert featuring over 650 musicians will conclude the daytime activities. This concert will be held on the corner south of the North Ward Chapel at approximately 4:16 P.M. A a climax to the Music Festival, Pangultch Band Mothers' organization will hold their annual .Band Carnival dance In the Social Hall. A special feature ot this dance will be the selection and coronation of the Pangultch Band Queen. The six candidates for this honor are: Mamie Hatch, Yvonne Campbell, Carol Holman, Judy Judd, Kay Sevy, Janice Tebb. In addition to the Band Carnival the Band Mother will sell refreshments during the day and hold a food sale. All proceeds of the activities will go to augument the Band Uniform Fund at Pangultch High School. All the concerts, contests' and parades are, of course, open to the public and are free ot charge.
