Show JCs Urge Cleanup Before Bands Arrive The Jaycees have set the week of April 26 to 29 as Clean Up Week to Improve the beauty of our city, emphasis being stressed this year on removal ot unsightly fences and old outbuildings which have long since passed their usefulness and remain a fire trap or some other hazard to livestock and young people who are tempted to play In such buildings. No matter how beautiful the home and how well painted, the eye usually stops at the fence and as the glance is raised to the house which has worn out or unpalnted hazardous buildings It makes the home look like a rose among thorns. This year the Jaycees are of- ferlng three prltes for the greatest accomplishments In the Improvement ot boundary fences and removal of old buildings. The rirst prize will be 40; sec ond prize, $20, and third prize, $10.00. To assist some ambitious housewife In prodding her, husband to the good work, the Jaycees are volunteering their services In the removal of unsightly fences facing the street and their efforts, with that of the husband, can be counted toward the prize.
