Just at the present time the University of Utah ts in a fair way to lose a number num-ber of its best athletes. Following close on the announcement, that Marvin L'dy would not be eligible for the basketball team this season, it was found that Piggy Ward had decided to quit school for good. Ward was the star backfie.Id man of the Crimson eleven laM fall and was reputed to be the best half in the Rocky mountain conference. This was his first yf-ar of varsity football and it ha-i been honed that he would wear the Crimson moleskins for at least two movr yars. lie is planning on enterine business. U is now reported that Henry Heal, for three years a. regular on the unlvr-r-sitv quint and ca plain of the team last ; year, has definitely decide' not to enter athletics this year. Leal is a member of the debating team and has been too busy to attend any of the practices so far this season. It had been expected that he would turn out for the team as soon as the holidays were over.
