SURPRISE PARTY Mr Isaac Sears has a Birthday Party There was a pleasant surprise party I last night at the residence of Mr Isaac Sears of the Eleventh ward The occasion was the fiftieth anniversary anniver-sary of Mr Sears birthday and about fifty of his friends and wellwishers called to wish him many happy returns of the day The time was spent delightfully de-lightfully in music recitations etc An elegant supper was spread at which fine wines and pleasant speeches flowed ad lib and altogether a delightful de-lightful evening was spent Mr Sears is one of our most prominent promi-nent and substantial business men and has a host of friends who wish that he may see the years roll merrily on I mark till he at least attains the century I
