A number tf.the favorites showed substantial advances and the trading was nearly all on -the -upward scale. " - ' v Lower Mammoth was again the star performer, soaring up to $1.26, then dropping back t $1.15. and then advancing to $1.24 at the close. A total of 6G00 Ehares changed hands. Uncle Sam Consolidated showed up Strong, selling 1000 at 264 cents. May Day also pushed up a notch, releasing 9000 shares at prices between 19 and 20 cents. ' . - Star Consolidated spurted up to Z&M cents, but weakened again, selling at 27 cents; 7400 shares of the stock were thrown upon the market. Ben Butler opened at 15 cents, with a sale of 2000 shares, and followed with 500 at 15Vi cents, but closed at 14 cents i . New York's opening sale was at 24 cents and the close at 254 cents. a total of 3400 shares fold between the two limits. Yankee Consolidated fluctuated between be-tween 39 and 38 cents and Martha Washington sold at 3 cents. Century tumbled to the 60-cent mark, making one sale as low as 6S cents. Wall have filed the $12,000 bond required re-quired by the court in the injunction case granted in favor of the Ivanhoe and against the United States Mining company. This, case Involves one of the richest bodies of copper ore in the United States properties. CENTURY'S LABOR TROUBLES ' ARE OVER; BRICK COMING. i. Manager P. W. Madsen of the Century Cen-tury stated, this morning that the strike trouble with the mill operatives is all over and that everything at the property is now moving smoothly. B. Lewis and associates, to acquire and develop 4000 acres of mineral lands in Beaver, Iron and Washington counties of this State. The properties consolidated In the Royal are all well known and have already al-ready produced $1,000,000 In ore. They are the Montreal, the Atlas, the Monitor, Moni-tor, the Rebel, the Nellie, the Highland Boy and a number of others. The purchase price is stated by Mr. Lewis to be $1,000,000.. The incorporators incorpor-ators are: C. C. Parsons, Harry W. Robinson and William Lv Jameson of Denver; C. J. Caughey of New, York; Frajik Knox and Joseph Henshaw of Salt Lake and E. F. Freudenthal of Ploche, Nev. The first three have only nominal interests in the. company. The directors have not all been named, but Senator Lewis will be president; Mr. Caughey, vice-president; Mr, Knox, treasurer, and Mr, Henshaw, secretary. secre-tary. In speaking of opening up the properties. prop-erties. Senator Lewis said: - "The principal efforts at first will be directed toward opening up the Montreal, Mon-treal, Rebel, Atlas, Monitor, Nellie and Highland Boy properties.
