Show SMALL: COYS RIDE IN BORROWED RIG s i"- ' Three twelve-year-old boys bad a wild ride In a borrowed rig and were saved from probable disaster this morning by J. R. Carno of 23 Byron street, who took the rig from, the lads and turned it over to the police.'" ' The boys found a horse and trap hitched to a post in the southwestern part of the city about - o'clock, and proceeded to take possession. They rode recklessly for an hour, when Mr. Carno espied them, and believing they were In possession of borrowed property, halted them and learned what they had done. The boys made their escape, and Carno tied the horse to a post and notified the police. Patrolman Sperry, who holds the official position of horse detective on the police force, took the outfit to the station, sta-tion, where It will be held for its owner. |
