Havemeyer to ttfe labor unions of the city, in which he offered to propound . various questions for labor union speakers to answer at a public meeting, meet-ing, the expense to be borne by-hlm, has been 'Officially accepted by the local branch of the Federated union. The vote to accept the challenge .was unanimous. unani-mous. . There were delegates present from twelve of the locals. It was at first deemed expedient to confine the f peak-erg peak-erg to Yonkers meru but the point was raised that Mr. Havemeyer would in all probability have the. support of a great many wealthy men of the country coun-try and for that reason the ablest labor speakers in-the country are to be obtained ob-tained to answer him. |
